Design Inspiration:We wanted to show a bold statement with the black and walnut cabinet combination. The Walnut keeps a natural element, while the black adds contrast and drama. We chose an organic looking quartz top and ran that up as the backsplash as well. This keeps it feeling timeless and classic, while the metal open shelves in the center bring a modern flare with a hint of industrial. We call this area a drop zone or a tech display but it’s perfect for multiple areas in the home. Each side includes undercabinet LED lighting for an optimal work area. We envisioned someone reading and prepping recipes, opening mail, or working on a computer while still being close to the kitchen if needed. We also feature under cabinet plug strips so as not to interfere with the gorgeous quartz backsplash. In the drawers we feature more plugs for easy recharging of phones or other gadgets necessary. The subtle hints of brushed brass in the hardware and light fixture give the space a sense of warmth.
